Introduction

Hey everyone, my name is Mike Roos and I will be updating this blog periodically for my English 101 class during the spring semester of 2009. I’ve never used a blog so it will be interesting to see how that goes. I’m supposed to use this introduction to let my audience know who I am and what I am interested in. To start, I’m a freshman from Oak Lawn, IL. I grew up in Tinley Park, which is about 15 minutes from Oak Lawn and moved when I was a junior. I’m a business major right now but I am considering changing my major, I’m just not sure to what yet. I attended Marist High School for all four years of high school and attended St. Damian Elementary School for grade school. Throughout high school I ran four years of cross country and two years of track. I really dislike running and did it for the sole purpose of staying in shape. I also played 3 years of rec basketball and in those 3 years me, along with a few of my friends, went undefeated in all 3 regular seasons and won 2 championships. I’m a big fan of the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, and University of Memphis Tigers. My family has season tickets to the Bears and we used to have season tickets to the White Sox. I’m a huge Derick Rose fan. He graduated from my favorite college, which I was very close to attending, and now plays for the Bulls. This is about all I have to say about myself and I’ll update it again later.
